Cultural celebrations in Singapore are very much physical, personal ones. With COVID-19 restrictions in place, Lisha challenged us to keep the spirit of Deepavali—the biggest holiday for the Singaporean Indian community—burning bright by giving the 2020 festival an online presence.
Inspired by to-do and must-see lists that spring up before a major festival, we conceptualised “The Deepavalist”, building a colourful, one-stop microsite for everything Deepavali 2020 that showcased Singapore’s unique way of celebrating the Festival of Lights. An accompanying video and social media campaign reached both local and international audiences.
